Volunteers who are required to obtain a police records check:

• All youth coaches for the club’s U21, U18, U15, and U12 programs.
• All coaches who work with persons with a developmental disability.

What is required:

• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) as it includes a Police Record Check

Where is this obtained:

• If you are in an OPP-policed community, apply online: https://www.opp.ca/index.php?id=147&lng=en
• If you are not in an OPP-policed community, contact your local police services.

Timing and frequency:

• It is club policy that these record checks are valid for 3 years.
• Letters should be issued to coaches after registration.

Notes:

• Vulnerable Sector Checks are not required for school-based rentals as there is a teacher present.
